Done Deal? Man City register Everton’s John Stones for their Champions League campaign

Man City register Everton’s John Stones
This is absolutely crazy.
Unless UEFA have made a mistake – which surely isn’t the case – Manchester City have registered Everton’s John Stones for their Champions League campaign.

According to the UEFA website, Stones will wear the number 24 at Man City.
That’s a remarkable turn of events, as the Sky Blues haven’t signed Stones from Everton!

The Times update

Saying that, the Stones to Man City story has been going around for days, and on Tuesday the Times posted an update on the transfer saga:
Manchester City are increasingly confident of concluding a £50 million deal to sign John Stones before the Premier League season starts on Saturday.
Should the deal go through, the Times reveal that Barnsley will scoop a windfall:
Barnsley, his former club, are entitled to a significant cut of a transfer fee, believed to be 15 per cent, owing to a sell-on clause in the projected £3 million deal that took him to Merseyside in 2013.
