Sarkozy charged with corruption over alleged Kadhafi financing

Seven killed, around 50 wounded in Burkina Faso attack

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose today paid a visit to his Benue State counterpart, Governor Samuel Ortom.

Customs Seize 31 Exotic Vehicles, 14 Trailers Of Rice In Lagos (Photos)

The Federal Operations Unit, Zone A of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) has announced the seizure of 31 exotic vehicles.
Also impounded were 14 trailers of foreign parboiled rice, containing 8,400 bags. The unit’s Area Controller, Mohammed Uba, paraded the items in Lagos yesterday.

He disclosed that the vehicles include: four Rolls Royce, one Porsche Panamera, one Jaguar, one Bentley and two Lexus jeeps

Others are two G-Wagons, one Toyota Land Cruiser, five Toyota Corolla and seven Mercedes Benz cars, mostly of the 2017 model.

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte had bulldozers destroy $1.2 million worth of smuggled cars at the Bureau of Customs, days after promising to dispose of vehicles brought into the Southeast Asian country illegally.

A Scotish woman who filmed herself having s3x with her Labrador dog in a sickening animal abuse video involving whipped cream has been arrested.

Suzy Cairns, 39, was arrested after Cops found the shocking video on her mobile phone when they raided her home for child abuse images, a court heard.

Prosecutor Jim Robertson told Livingston Sheriff Court that the porn movie “appeared to be self-generated involving the accused and her pet dog”.

He said the animal, understood to be a Labrador was present when the police raided her home in March last year.

A counsel to alleged Badoo kingpin, Abayomi Alaka, on Friday said that the wanted suspect had submitted petitions against the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Mr.Edgal Imohimi.

According to the lawyer, Babatunde Ojehomon, the petition was addressed to the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, the National Assembly and others.

Colorado shooting: Four police officers injured, one dead

A police officer has been killed and four others have been injured in an "ambush-style attack" while responding to a verbal disturbance in Colorado.

The shooting happened at an apartment at Highlands Ranch, south of Denver.

Authorities confirmed two civilians, thought to be the shooter's neighbours, were also shot before the suspect was shot and killed by officers.

Residents in the area were put on "code red" alert and told to stay inside away from windows during the incident.

People were told to avoid the area while Swat officers responded. A bomb squad was also pictured at the scene.

Egypt Sentences ex-President Morsi to 3 Years in Jail for Insulting Judiciary

A Cairo criminal court sentenced former Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi and 19 others to three years in prison on Saturday, and fined him 2 million Egyptian pounds ($112,700) on charges of insulting the judiciary.

Others tried by the court in the same case including leading Egyptian activist Alaa Abdel Fattah and lawmaker and television presenter Tawfik Okasha were instead given fines ranging from 30,000 to 1 million Egyptian pounds.

The verdicts can still be appealed.

Ex-Governor Adebayo, Keyamo, Arise, Others Get Board Appointments

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday approved the constitution of the Governing Boards of agencies and parastatals, under some ministries.

According to a statement from the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the President also appointed some Nigerians to fill the board positions, including 209 chairmen and 1,258 members.

Medical personnel are now free to treat victims of gunshot without waiting for police report and it is official.

A bill giving effect to the policy was signed into law yesterday by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Entitled Compulsory Treatment and Care for Victims of Gunshot Act, 2017,it was among the six so signed by the President.
