Armed robbers raid Cartier jewellery shop after setting huge fire to distract police

Armed robbers have raided a Cartier jewellery store, after starting a fire in a nearby tunnel to distract police. One of the thieves was wounded and captured as they attempted to flee officers in Monte Carlo.
The Monegasque police authority said three individuals carrying at least one gun targeted the shop near the famed casino square in France.
The robbers then fled and set fire to their getaway car.
Police closed the principality’s borders to capture the robbers – however two managed to escape. Officers are unable to specify what the robbers had stolen – or how valuable it was.
No shots were fired in the store and no hostages were taken in the robbery – however some Cartier shop assistants are undergoing psychological counseling. Monte Carlo is allegedly on lockdown.
