Raymond Verheijen lays into Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger… again [Tweets]

Verheijen takes aim at Arsene Wenger

Former Wales coach Raymond Verheijen has been very vocal about the training methods of many high profile Premier League managers.
Verheijen has taken aim at the likes of David Moyes, Mauricio Pochettino, Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola in recent years.
He may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but Verheijen is a fitness coach of some renown – he worked with former Wales coach Gary Speed, appears on Dutch television as a pundit and has also written a book about training methods.

Wenger bashing

One of Verheijen’s most targeted managers for their fitness regimes is Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.
Previous Wenger-bashing from Verheijen includes about injuries to Aaron Ramsey and Alexis Sanchez.Once a revolutionary in English football, Wenger, it could be argued, now lags behind many of the top managers in the Premier League.
And, it being the day after Arsenal’s opening match in the Premier League, Wenger is currently receiving a ton of criticism.

Iwobi & Ramsey pick up injuries

The 4-3 defeat to Liverpool at The Emirates raised a number of questions about how Arsene Wenger prepares his side for the new season.

Both Alex Iwobi and Aaron Ramsey came off due to injury in the second half with injuries.
Whilst the likes of Mesut Ozil and Laurent Koscielny didn’t play despite the fact their international team mates (e.g. Manuel Neuer and Bacary Sagna respectively) did play this weekend.
As a result, Raymond Verheijen has joined the ranks of people criticising Arsene Wenger this morning…
