Sadio Mane pictured leaving Melwood after completing Liverpool medical

Sadio Mane to Liverpool

Sadio Mane’s move to Liverpool is all but a done deal.
The Telegraph reported last night that Liverpool had reached an agreement with Southampton for the Senegalese attacker, who’s spent the past 2 seasons at St Mary’s.
The fee has been reported as 30m pounds – a huge fee for a player with no elite European experience, but the reality is that internal Premier League transfer fees are always hugely inflated.
Mane has been on the radar of the Premier League’s top clubs since he annoucned himself on the scene in 2014-15; Manchester United were reported to be in for him last summer, but he finally stayed put. And now Liverpool have got him after a frustrating season where he lost his regular place in the starting XI.

Medical done

The medical was pencilled in for today, and it was carried out at Melwood this afternoon.
The winger was pictured leaving Melwood after completing his medical today, and his smile and thumbs up were signals that it had gone according to plan.

So all that’s left is for Mane to be pictured with a Liverpool shirt and for the club to announce the deal – an official statement will surely come this week.
Liverpool fans have met the Mane news with mixed feelings, not least because of the inflated transfer fee, but given Jurgen Klopp’s transfer record, what do they have to worry about?
