FRANKFORD (WPVI) -- Two Philadelphia police officers are hospitalized after a crash in Frankford.
The accident happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday on the 4500 block of Frankford Avenue.
Authorities say a 15th District van was responding to a call with its lights and sirens on when the police vehicle entered Frankford Avenue and was struck by another car.
The van spun 180 degrees and plowed into the abutment for the EL train line.
The officers were transported to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.
Investigators are interviewing the driver of the car.
